Abstract
Establishing an effective communication with the employees by the institutions increases the productivity and improves the image of the institution positively. Communication with social media tools can be done in a two-way, fast and effective manner. This research aims to explore how effectively and efficiently the internal social media application is used as a new internal communication tool between the managers and the employees and also between the coworkers. Furthermore is adopted and supported by employee engagement. The universe of the research is Retail Group Headquarters and Store employees who use internal social media applications. A random sampling technique was used to determine the study group. In this study, which is dealt with by qualitative data collection method, semi-structured interview technique is used. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as data collection tool in the research. The interview form, which was developed as a data collection tool in the research, was finalized by taking expert opinions. In this article, the employees of Retail Group using the internal social media application (Cluster) were taken into consideration and their satisfaction and participation status were tried to be observed. The research found that the Cluster increased motivation, productivity, communication and cooperation between these coworkers and support employee engagement.
