Asy: long way from Volga to Scandinavia

The article discusses the events in central Europe that occurred in the IV-V centuries. The source of information is the Ingling Saga, which is part of Snorri Sturulson’s treatise The Circle of the Earth. The localization of the country of aces, its capital — Asgard, the territory of the Vanes was determined. An etymological analysis of the anthroponym Odin and the ethnonyms Asa and Vana was made. The result of the review was the conclusions about the motherland of aces in the Middle Volga.
