Abstract
Automation plays a vital role in therapy activities especially in rehabilitation. The prosthesis evolution has allowed people who lost an extremity to win back their normal life and live it with fewer limitations. In existing methods, the leg movement is automated by acquiring myosignal from motor nerves of the calf muscles. In proposed method the amputated leg movement is automated by acquiring signal from another functional limb. There are two motors used to provide external torque for joints of leg. With the use of electromechanical devices and sensors, the movement of the amputated leg is controlled based on the motion of the functional limb. The signal from the sensor istransmitted to the controllerto control the motor with the help of motor driver IC. An automated prosthetic leg helps the patients to move around with dysfunctional limbs without that limb being amputated.
