Abstract
The article is devoted to the prospects of the use of cell therapy in premature babies. Autologous mesenchymal stromal stem cells of umbilical-placental origin and umbilical cord blood cells are multipotent stem cells, which are capable of differentiation in different directions and are widely used to develop new cellular biomedical technologies. The authors provide an overview of the use of autologous mesenchymal stromal stem cells and umbilical cord blood cells in newborns as well as the prospects for their use in premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia or hypoxic-ischemic damage to the central nervous system.
