Abstract
The complex process of land reform in Ukraine predetermined a specific approach to emerging land relations and the land market. The article discusses the main characteristics of land relations in Ukraine, the factors affecting their formation, and also identify the central and critical milestones on the path of the transition of land relations from the state monopoly to market relations. The ongoing land reform and institutional transformations make the process of modelling land relations a non-trivial economic and mathematical task; therefore, the methodology is proposed in the article, which allows modelling the economic processes of land relations in the context of the real economic situation in the country.
