Abstract
Electric Arc Spray tends to be an important process in the material deposition of thin film capacitors. It is a process of melting down of the metal from solid state to liquid state such as a desired coating gets formed on the substrate surface. The basic aim lies in increasing the efficiency of this process which gets reduced due to the extensive wastage of the material used in it. In this research work, the influencing parameters of Electric Arc Spraying are determined with the help of industry experts. Then the inter linkage between these parameters is determined using ISM (Interpretive Structural Modelling) technique which establishes a network of relations that determines the effect of each of them. It resulted in the prioritized parameter that enhance the efficiency of our system. The results found out provided us a platform to work on the parameters such as the air pressure involved in the propelling of molten material towards the substrate surface and the nozzle geometry which defines the amount of material which gets deposited on the surface. Hence, by optimizing these parameters, the firm stands a chance of achieving the adequate efficiency from the system.
