THE SPECIFICS OF ASSIMILATING THE BASIC SKILLS OF VOCAL ART BY BEGINNING PUPILS

Vocal art is at the forefront of the Ukrainian musical arts and is an effective means of music and aesthetic education and development of the younger generation, which is organically linked to Ukrainian song culture. The article describes the content of the concept of “vocal skills”: singing posture, breathing, sound generation, connection of sounds, diction; the pedagogical aspect of formation, acquisition and assimilation of vocal skills by beginning pupils is covered, the typical difficulties in assimilating vocal skills and methods of overcoming them are listed. The urgency of the problem of voice training at the initial stage is confirmed by the experience that the correct formation of vocal skills is a key to the singer's success.
