Abstract
The present work was aimed at developing dermatologically acceptable film forming composition containing an anti-inflammatory agent. The prepared liquid bandages were found to be opaque, compatible, possessing high drug content with sufficient viscosity and thickness. Pores were observed on the surface and texture was found to be rough. The prepared formulations were found to be stable in terms of sedimentation and viscosity during the stability study. The release of drug was prolonged up to 4 hours from the liquid bandages. Thus its application can be explored in various formulations by using the described methodology.
