Abstract
Technical inspections of vehicles represent an important segment of the traffic safety. Therefore, this issue is receiving great attention both in the world and in our country. In particular, given the importance of the exchange of information on technical inspection of vehicles among members of the European Union by introducing a single information system. In the Republic of Srpska since 2009 there was introduced a new concept for the organization of technical inspection of vehicles. This new organization specifically emphasizes the development of the information system. This paper briefly presented the operation of a modern information system as well as the benefits of its introduction not only to raise the quality of technical inspections but also for the wider community.
