Abstract
Phytochemical analysis of the rhizome of Calamus rotang Linn. afforded β-sitosterol, β-sitosterol β- D- glucopyranoside and (+) –afzelechin. Characterization of (+) -Afzelechin is reported for the first time from this plant.
