Abstract
The research is concerned with the examination of social factors, which contribute to the scientific achievements of contemporary scientists. The main focus of the study is a sample of young doctors of sciences, who represent RAS institutions and various academic disciplines, have sound scientific achievements and the awards of the Regional Public Foundation for the National Science Support. The data on their scientific productivity was used to develop a model of the researchers' scientific achievements and their social determinants. The research findings are discussed in the context of the current approach.
