TRENDS OF DEMOGRAPHIC DEVELOPMENT AND MORTALITY OF ETHNIC GROUPS IN KAZAKHSTAN

The present paper analyzes the dynamics of the population and ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan. The mortality as one of the main demographic indicators was studied; a trend equation was constructed to estab- lish the forecast situation. The current situation of the demographic development of ethnic groups according to geographical location is revealed. The fact that the location of ethnic groups in the regions influenced the eco- nomic development of the country, especially the provision of labor resources in the northern regions of the re- public with developed industry, was identified
