AWARD «FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF DOMESTIC MEDICAL (CLINICAL) PSYCHOLOGY» AS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF THE NEWEST STAGE OF THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE

The article raises the question of the need for scientific reflection of the recent history of medical psychology. It is emphasized that new achievements in science, as a rule, are associated with pronounced personal efforts. The practice of awarding the annual Prize of the network scientific journal «Medical Psychology in Russia» – «For outstanding achievements in the field of domestic medical (clinical) psychology» is considered. A gold-plated figure of the teacher Asclepius, the centaur of Chiron, personifies the archetype of the professional activity of the doctor «Wounded Healer» (according to K.G. Jung). The main groups of the Prize Laureates are distinguished: according to their general professional experience, on the development of unique projects, on the problems of organizing the interaction of academic science and practice. A separate question was raised about the need to assess the contribution to the formation of science by the work of young scientists and outstanding debut research.
