Abstract

In this article, I wrote about English writer Norman Lewis and about one of his bestseller novel "Darkness Visible". In this novel, he described the real life of the Algerian population after World War 2. This novel tells about the fight of the Algerian patriots for their independence against French colonialists, about the repression, about their political games. Every event is closely interwoven with real-life and its characters are participants in real tragic events in Algerian soil. By this novel the author described his hope in the collapse of the inhuman system of national oppression created by imperialism.
