Abstract
He article provides a detailed analysis of the theoretical origins of creating a plan of attack on the USSR (the Barbarossa plan) and the further development of geostrategic plans for the leadership of fascist Germany. The author draws a direct parallel between the ideas of F. Ratzel and other representatives of the tellurocratic trend in geopolitics, the concept of K. Haushofer's "living space" and the practical military-political developments of the Nazi leadership to gain world domination. Based on a chronological analysis of the events of the first half of the 20th century, an attempt is made to prove the genetic relationship of the aggressive plans of the Third Reich with the theoretical calculations of scientists — representatives of German geopolitics from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
