Abstract
Abstract: In recent years, the developments of pain in low back have become widespread, alarmingly among children. Objective: To nd out the prevalence of Postural related low back pain in children Methods: A Japanese orthopedic questionnaire based research was undertaken to detect the occurrence of posture associated low back pain among 152 children(11-18 years). Collected data were treated statistically by SPSS version 21.0. Results: Minimum age of participants was 11.00 and maximum age was 18.00 years. The study included 152 schools going children, out of 152 children, 83(54.61%) reported low back pain and 69(45.39%) reported no pain. Conclusions: The study concluded that bad posture habits, prolonged sitting, bending while studying and uncomfortable school / academy furniture on daily basis were the main causes of low back pain, chronicity of back pain eventually leads to disability.
