The article focuses on nouns and verbs. According to etymological data, the nomination of the emotions of the group «Compassion» in the Polish, Russian and Ukrainian languages took place on the basis of Common Slavic forms *čuti, *žalь < *gēl-, *bolěti, *milъ, *srъdьce, *stradati, *tŕpĕti, *ljutъ, *čęstь. Most of the names in the compared languages do not have a large semantic difference in historical and modern dictionaries.
