Abstract
Snow fall is an important indicator of the continental climate zones. Studies on snow drifts are rare in the Balkans region. An assessment of the progress of snow precipitation as a climatic element is given for the Balkans region through monitoring and evaluating data from some stations in Albania. Data collection is done over a period of many years for parameters such as: the level of snow fall, the time of precipitation, the surface the snow covers, and the number of snow days, monthly as well as annually. The method used for the evaluation of the parametric data collected from meteorological stations is that of statistical analysis, graphics and cartography. Stations included in the study: Bilisht, Boge, Bulqize, all have territorial distribution in Albania.
