Abstract
The authors of this article have studied the texts of the Jordanian popular and quality papers - the government newspaper Al-Raya and the independent newspaper Al-Ghad. We have analyzed about 50 materials that directly or indirectly mention Vladimir Putin for the period from March 2011 (when the civil war in Syria has started) till February 2018. We have focused on the images of Vladimir Putin that were created in the Jordanian media. Conventionally, they fall under one of the three categories: “Putinfriend”, “Putin-enemy” or “Putin-president of Russia”.
