Abstract
Unlike children, acute intussusception in adult is very unusual. It is often the result of an underlying lesion. We report the case of a 41-year-old patient with acute intussusception due to ileal lipoma diagnosed by abdominal CT scan and confirmed by laparoscopy. The patient underwent a coelio-assisted resection-anastomosis of the invaginated loop with a safety margin because of the frequency of malignant tumors often associated with this type of lesion. This therapeutic attitude justifies the essential place of surgery in the management.
