Abstract
This study examined the aggression and rigidity in adolescence and explored the gender differences among them. Participants included a hundred adolescents with an equal number of boys and girls. Data was gathered by using the rigidity tool developed by N.K.Chadha and aggression inventory by M.K.Sultania through purposive sampling technique. T-test and the Pearson correlation coefficient was applied for data analysis. Findings revealed that boys and girls do not differ significantly on aggression and rigidity except guilt, where girls scored higher. In boys as well as girls rigidity has a weak but positive correlation with aggression. Outcomes imply that behavioral change techniques along with the cognitive component should be used in efficient self-regulation and preventing problematic behavior like aggression. Also, equal attention should be paid to both the genders.
