Alternative treatment for skin wounds in horses

Skin problems are common in horses and often determine complications and diagnostic difficulties. Dermatological diseases occur with higher prevalence and incidence in horses, bringing zootechnical devaluation, defects, serious complications, and secondary infections. A clinical approach and wound therapy through flexible protocols contribute to rapid tissue repair. This work aimed to make a literature review on alternative treatments for skin lesions in the equine clinic, as well as to make a brief approach to the association of these therapies with conventional ones.
