Abstract
The purpose of this article is to use some of the tools of a Geographic Information System (GIS), to locate and consult, spatially, the sites where events related to Antipersonnel Mines (APM), Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) have occurred. This information to be mapped is generated in Excel tables as a database and its positioning is with GPS, WGS84 geographic coordinates, this implies having to adapt the information and give it a Geographic Information System order that allows the discovery of spatial structures, associated and relations between the data, as well as to model geographic phenomena. The results reflect the nature and quality of the data, as well as the relevance of the methods and functions applied to provide a structure that allows it to be spatialized in Colombian territoryand to identify the number of events thathave occurred, either by department or by a municipality
