Abstract
Study is carried out to understand the patterns of unsteady Casson fluid flow when a steady fluid or fluid at rest is subject to sudden stretching. The equations governing this unsteady fluid flow is non-dimensionalized and solved using the implicit finitedifference method of Crane type. Graphs are plotted for steady as well as unsteady cases to understand the behavior of this types of flow. It is observed that the time taken to become study is longer when the fluid is initially maintained at rest comparedto fluid maintained with initial velocity of Crane type.
