Abstract

Zygomatic Complex Fractures ZMC is caused due to accidents like falling from a height, different sports injuries, and gunshot wounds. These cases are very challenging for doctors to restore it to the normal position. Zygomatic bone in the facial skeleton occupies a prominent anterolateral position in the midface. Due to its multidimensional nature and prominent position on the face, it is impossible to visualize the bone during treatment and has been extremely challenging with poor and unsatisfactory outcomes.3D printing technology helps the surgeon to visualize the bone. The aim of this research work is to produce the 3dimensional model and understand the nature of displacement of the fracture. Manufacturing of the prototypes of the designed model is done using Fused Deposition Modelling FDM 3DPrinting machine. In this project the patients will be subjected to 3Dimensional Computed Tomography CT scan and the DICOM image of a patient is taken. The 3D CAD model is saved.STL file format then fabricated using the FDM 3D printing machine. In this study of preoperative and postoperative models are printed and fixed landmarks are marked on them for the measurements.
