Abstract
Monomers of methacrylic series have been synthesized: methacrylamide, methacrylic acid, methyl methacrylate and high methyl methacrylate from methacrylonitrile. High methacrylates based on methacrylonitrile and individual aliphatic alcohols from C2 to C16 were synthesized. Optimum conditions for their synthesis are found at which the yield of methacrylates is 95–97% of theory, considering the initial methacrylonitrile. The high-molecular compounds, poly-N-substituted acryl amides, which are used as viscous additives for petroleum oils, glues, adhesives, antiaqing agents of the protective rubber mixture, anticorrosive coatings, corrosion inhibitors et c. were obtained by radical polymerization
