Abstract
The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, better known as the Istanbul Convention. An important discussion in this regard also takes place in Ukraine, especially issues related to ratification of the Convention. The article reconstructs doctrinal foundations of the Istanbul Convention, which determine operation of technical solutions it contains.
