Abstract
Routing is the process of transmitting data packets from a node to another. MANETs does not require any network infrastructure or any centralized node to administer. Deci1ding the route is important for performance. The routing protocols have been classified in to Proactive, Reactive and Hybrid protocols. In the present paper we tried to compare reactive routing protocols namely Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocols, Temporarily Ordered Routing Algorithm (TORA) and Associativity Based Routing (ABR) protocol. The performance of the above mentioned protocol has also been tabulated in the present exposition.
