Abstract
This research is titled “RAINBOW ROWELL ‘S “FANGIRL”- CATHER AVERY'S CHARACTER ANALYSIS. This research focuses on Cather Avery's personality traits. The researchers also examined factors that influenced Cath's personality development in her latency stage. Cath's character viewed from Sigmund Freud's Theory, Neo- Freud's Theories, as the character narrated by the Author Rainbow Rowell that Cath Avery affected psycho – sexually issues; to explain how Cath changed her nature as introvert personality and explain how Cath overcomes her introvert personality to become extrovert and her difficulties to overcome by herself. This research has written as Qualitative description. Then analyzed based on the theory taken by the researcher as a reference. In analyzing the data researcher used PsychoAnalytical Theory of Sigmund Freud, and Neo- Freud's Theories of Karen Horney, Alfred Adler and Erik Erikson. The author lived and made every reader to be live as Cather Avery, who doesn't like interacting with people around her due to her experience at home. Her character is a mirror experience of children in separated parents, which made the reader to empathy on Cath Character written by Rainbow. She was always isolating herself in her room by writing about Simon Snow on fanfic.net. Her introvert personality has developed in her childhood due to separation of parents, which is the main factor for her isolation. The introvert personality of Cath is explained by the Sigmund Freud's Theory and NeoFreud's Theories. Hence, these character helps every separated parent to learn lesson of the bad impact of separated family and its impact may affect child grow and feel empathy on their pain and correct their nature and strengthen happy family and healthy society. Cath's character teaches that how a person has to overcome her difficulties and being a successful personality at their latency stage and future development of their life
