Abstract

This article examines the features of virtual communication in the youth audience, since in the 21st century she spends more and more time on social networks, which she uses as a place for friendly communica- tion, a space for professional development, shopping, and leisure. Through a questionnaire survey, which was attended by 100 informants – bachelor students of the Faculty of Philology and Intercultural Communication of the Birsk branch of the Bashkir State University – the main preferences in the choice of user communities, lan- guage means, tools for transferring social information were determined; features of using network jargon, text autocorrection are described; the attitude of young people to the observance of the norms of the literary language in the process of virtual communication is considered; the main trends of the influence of Internet communica- tion on the development of the Russian literary language are revealed
