Abstract
It's pretended to show that between 1850-1920 the classical models are resignified by architecture and sculpture in cities like Santiago and Buenos Aires, and with those manifestations in the public space an elitist postureis set on but also the public cultural heritage is covered by segregation and westernization of the cities aesthetic. There for, it shows how the center of the cities is installed as an axis and supports the visuals that ease up the disposition of the classical aesthetic, but also that the classical models are installed in a conspicuous and timeless way. A rereading of this resignifications or of the classicsin the public space will help to a more culturalist and contextualized understanding in the history of the two Latin-Americans cities.
