Abstract

Under conditions of demographic decline the quality of health of children becomes of a special value in the country. Problematic aspects of the issue, its medical-social value including the opinions of making organizational, administrative decisions concerning maintenance and improvement of health of children become much more topical. The purpose of the study was to examine and analyze peculiarities of dynamics of sickness and occurrence of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the urinary system in children population in Chernivtsi region in the aspect of their general state tendencies. Material and methods. Official statistical data were studied (reports on nephrologic aid delivered to children in Chernivtsi region for the period from 2006 to 2017, the data of the Medical Statistics Center, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on sickness and occurrence of urinary diseases among children population). For data processing we applied information-analytical and statistical methods. Results and discussion. Ukraine on the whole and Chernivtsi region in particular are characterized by decrease of birth rate (17.5% and 19.1%, respectively) during the last six years (2012-2017) contrary to increase (12.2% and 11.3%) found in the previous period of 2006-2011. Children population size continues to decline gradually (for 12 years in Ukraine – 13.48%, and in the region – 7.9%) at the expense of the most intensive process among teenagers (for the periods: І – 26.0% and 14.65%, for ІІ – 25.0% and 20.3%, respectively); while for children aged 0-14 years in recent six years it has stopped, and it has changed into 4.67% increase in the region. As to the age structure of Chernivtsi region patients suffering from kidney infection, 70-77% of it is found among children aged 0-14 years. Their number increased by 15.0% in the region during 2012-2017, which differentiates them not only from the previous period of 2006-2011, but from the rest of the contingent during the whole period of observation with its specific decrease. During the six years (2012-2017) contrary to 2006-2011 there was a considerable increase (23.0%) of sickness rate of the group of diseases «Kidney Infections» among children aged 0-14. At the same time among teenagers more intensive decrease of the indices (40.0%) was found compared to the І period (2006-2011), where it was 8.7%. Moreover, children aged 15-17 had a stable increase of occurrence (11.5% and 4.0% during І and ІІ periods). Such a character of changes was manifested among children aged 0-14 during ІІ period; their increase was 10.0%. That is, with higher sickness rate and occurrence of pathology among teenagers in the region, contrary to Ukraine on the whole, we observed intensive accumulation of patients suffering from «Kidney Infections». The ratio of indices, their dynamics enabled to suggest that increase of sick teenagers was mostly explained by insufficient results of giving adequate medical aid, while among children aged 0-14 it was conformed and caused by low, inadequate prevention of their development. Conclusions. The levels of «Kidney Infections» occurrence among the children population of Chernivtsi region during the period of observation prevailed general state tendency and had a negative character; teenagers were found everywhere by the value of indices, but the fact that the indices in the region were reliably higher during 2012-2017. The situation was complicated by the rate of growth among children aged 0-14, which was higher than that of teenagers. Sickness rates of «Kidney Infections» among teenagers were reliably higher than those among children aged 0-14 in Ukraine and region in particular, though they had an opposite dynamics. Reverse character of changes differed children ≤ 14 of years, among which they increased in the region during 2012-2017 on the ground of indices decrease in the country.
