Regional features of traditional embroidery in the Russian North (Olonets sewing – Karelia)

The Article is devoted to regional features of traditional embroidery in the North of Russia. The author analyzes various techniques, ornaments, and colours of Karelian embroidery. Describing a kind of embroidery skill, the author believes that the artistic merits of embroidery in the North of Russia is the brightest page in the world history of art.
