Abstract
In this paper we aimed to observe the extent to which manganese cations influence the formation of chlorophyll in the leaves of wheat seedlings. Moreover, we wanted to see how important it is if manganese ions are free or complex and if there are differences between the results obtained. The influence of MnCl2 , K7 PMo11 O39 and K5 MnPMo11 O39 solutions was followed of 0,1 μM, 1 μM, 10 μM on the concentration of chlorophyll and carotene in the leaves of wheat seedlings in the first days of life. The study shows that the formation of chlorophyll is a complex process to which obviously contributes to some extent manganese ions, but also other trace elements such as potassium, phosphorus and molybdenum.
