Abstract
The article presents the results of research on the components of social competence of College stu- dents. Based on the theoretical analysis, the following components of social competence were identified: health- saving, citizenship, social interaction and communication, information technology. The study showed an insuffi- cient level of readiness of students to save and maintain their health; insufficient level of readiness of the sur- veyed students to show citizenship; dependent type of behavior. The author concludes that when developing a psychological and pedagogical program for the development of social competence of College students, it is ad- visable to focus on these components and their manifestations
