Abstract
The article discusses the necessity for advanced training courses for medical educators using the latest information and educational technologies, including distance learning platforms, based on the national strategy for medical education and the need for continuing professional development of health workers. The experience of domestic medical education institutions in training and retraining of medical teachers was analyzed. The article presents the structure of the e-learning course «Fundamentals of methodology of the electronic courses development in the field of medical education», which was developed to improve the skills of teachers of higher medical education during the pandemic COVID-19 in the world. The practical significance of the course was to create courses created by the cadets themselves with their immediate implementation in the educational process to ensure the educational process during the introduction of distance learning. Teaching methods, as well as means of control of the e-learning course, are described in detail. The results of the course are given taking into account the questionnaire of teachers. Based on quantitative and qualitative monitoring in the distance learning platform, an analysis of the number of e-learning courses that were started to be created by departmental teams in the distance learning platform, data on the introduction of automated testing in the learning process. Following the questionnaire of teachers, the e-learning course received a positive assessment, and its results potentiated the introduction of new teaching technologies, development, and implementation of distance learning at the university level
