Abstract
The current tourism trends are back to the nature and cultural heritage, awareness of environmental sustainability has led to ecological tourism being the main choice. This study aims to analyze the priority factors supporting the development of tourism and to formulate the participation of stakeholders in the development of tourism in Dieng Plateau, Indonesia. This study uses a mixed method. Tools of analysis mainly used MACTOR analysis combined with a Focus Group Discussion. The results showed that at the first level, the priority factors were infrastructure with a value of 0.46 followed by internal with 0.34 and institutional with 0.20. The relationship between stakeholders in convergence and divergence is relatively complicated by showing that the strongest relationship is between academics, tourism agency and travel agents. The analysis showed that the stakeholders have a close dependence on their efforts to develop the natural and cultural tourism in Dieng area.
