Abstract
The term, ‘skill' refers to an acquired and practiced ability or to a qualification needed to perform a job or a certain task competently. It is a multidimensional concept, as most jobs require a combination of skills for adequate performance - a combination of physical abilities, cognitive abilities and interpersonal skills. The curriculum is therefore to be formulated keeping in view the necessity of both domain skills and life skills. In the context of economic development, the processes of formal acquisition of skills and training are important. This paper focuses on different models of skills education for lifelong learning. These models may be applied as bespoke model as and when required. 4
