ANALYSING THE IMPACT OF SERVICE QUALITY ON PILGRIMS TOURISTS IN VELLORE DISTRICT USING FACTORS ANALYSIS

Abstract
In this paper, the researcher aims to throw light on diverse proportions which turn as a matter fact for the pilgrim's tourists about the destined Centre. Indian Tourism report clearly shows the difference in the arrival of foreign pilgrim's tourists in the year 2018 is 10.56 million with an annual growth rate of 5.2%. Domestic tourist visit all states is 1854.9 million with an annual growth rate of 11.9% and foreign exchange earnings from tourism is 1,94,892 crore with annual growth rate 9.6% and US$ 28.585 billion with a growth rate of 4.7%. The objectives of this study are to explore various tourism services offered by tourist's destinations in Vellore districts. In order to determine the impact of service quality of pilgrim tourists, two hypotheses were framed on the basis of objectives. A 100 questionnaire were collected from pilgrim tourists. Percentage, Regression and Factor analysis was applied. The findings of the survey reveal that the impact of service for pilgrims is the ease of transportation, food and beverages quality. One way ANOVA result also proves that there is a statistically significant relationship between the gender and availability of goods and cultural experience among pilgrims in the Vellore districts. Hence the result revealed that there is an impact on service quality of pilgrim tourists' towards pilgrim services and hotels premises, three factors were clubbed under service availability of basic service to pilgrim tourists, quality service at pilgrim centers and service quality in Hotel industry in factor analysis.
