Abstract
Every women entrepreneur intends to have societal oriented contribution, but the degree of contribution differs from individual to individual. The degree of contribution and involvement varies based on the financial aspect, regulatory aspect, technical support, access to funding, entrepreneurship culture, and taxation and regulation. The research objective is to understand the status of the social entrepreneur. The objective was achieved by testing 457 samples using stratified random sampling. The major findings of the study were: One fourth of the respondents' business turnover is 11 to 15 lakhs per annum; Study reveals that one fifth of the respondents is doing import and export trade, while the same percentage are doing whole sale and retail business. Study reveals that 40.6 percent of the respondents are motivated by themselves to perform the social activities. Hence the study was concluded with the suggestion of using government schemes and initiatives for innovation and technology integration leading to growth of women entrepreneurs business, self and the society in general.
