Abstract
The aspects of education and training in the field of entrepreneurship have garnered increasing attention from scholars and society at large in recent times. The main aim of this paper is to investigate how education, training and consulting can impact entrepreneurship in developing countries. This study brings together 123 empirical as well as conceptual studies on entrepreneurship education and training and systematically reviews them. It seeks to offer a broad picture of entrepreneurship education and training. The paper is solely based on secondary literature published in various economic journals or books from the period of 1999 to 2019.This study focuses on the definitions, drivers, motivations and challenges of entrepreneurship in general, particularly in developing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and South Asia (SA). The content of each item of literature was analyzed and assessed along the lines of the authorship and manuscript characteristics, research design and the research methodology of the collected research articles and reports. The study shows that most of the developing countries do not have favorable environments for business start-ups This study aims to demonstrate to the policy makers in South Asian & Sub-Saharan African countries to create frameworks for incorporating entrepreneurship education into their systems of education from an early stage. Moreover, governments need to offer support for entrepreneurs on a macro-environmental level in order to promote entrepreneurship. Because of constraints in time and cost, data was collected only from online sources and from the university library databases. In the future, larger samples and more quantitative studies are recommended to give more validity and credibility to `the studies.
