Abstract
This paper posits the idea that top management team (TMT) are crucial drivers of organisational performance. Thus, to understand the critical linkage between TMT and organizational performance, this paper specifies the contextual role of structural interdependence on top management team (TMT) functional diversity and organizational performance. The paper outlines two forms of TMT functional diversity namely intrapersonal TMT functional diversity and dominant TMT functional diversity, and its role in organizational performance is highlighted. Six propositions are posited to outline the moderating role of structural interdependence
