Abstract

In the conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic, there are real businesses in the community are being stagnant, but some sectors do not experience it, including poultry namely chicken joper. This issue is very interesting to be studied. This study aims to increase the improvement of poultry breeders in the chicken farm center of jowo super (joper) in the pandemic era covid 19. The benefits of this research result in the mental independence in business and increase the economic welfare of breeders. The research object was carried out in the plasma group of joper chicken in Plupuh District, Sragen. The number of breeders in the plasma group consisted of 15 breeders with a poultry population of 50,000 chickens/month. Methods of data collection were carried out through interviews, observation, and literature study. The research approach in the field used an exploratory sequential model with a mix method analysis approach (a combination of qualitative and quantitative). Qualitative analysis is used to determine the breeders' character, breeders' business motivation, breeders learning process, the role of stake holders and the breeders' business environment. The research was followed by conducting quantitative analysis with a pre-experimental design approach, one group pretest-postets, where breeder groups receive mentoring treatment from intion plasma before and after receiving assistance, so that the character of business mental independence and economic improvement is recognized.
