Abstract
This research aimed to compare English language communication problems among tourism personnel in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, and Mukdahan provinces using quantitative methodology. Purposive sampling was used to select 400 tourism personnel. A questionnaire was used as the tool for data collection, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation before analyzing by one-way ANOVA. The results revealed that tourism personnel had a high level in listening and speaking skills. The listening and speaking skills of tourism personnel were different (P <0.05) depending on ages, education, and work experiences. The different ages and education levels of tourism personnel were found to have significant differences in their listening and speaking competencies. Therefore, the relevant agencies and business entrepreneurs should also solve those problems of tourism personnel by strengthening their English competencies
