Abstract
Intelligence is a general ability that can influence performance of an individual in a wide range of cognitive tasks. In the urbanized world, challenges of mental health, depression are common in business oriented, goal driven organizations and their leaders. Role of human behavior has been studied in several executive environments and burn out the emerging problem among managers. There has been a profound relationship between role stress and respective burnout leading to behavioral problems in leadership. However, there is a lack of standard tool for measurement of spiritual intelligence for managers in the traditional Indian scenario. The thought has been based on importance of spiritual intelligence in leadership. The current research focuses on Spiritual Intelligence (SI) and aims at building up a practical model of SI
by studying its impact on preventing Burnout. It was found that excessive role stress leads to executive burnout and burnout negatively affects spiritual intelligence. The research develops a new model of leadership based on Spiritual Intelligence for executive development and improvement of leadership behavior, to sprout improved personal skills in executive leaders.
