In mainstream of Ukrainian codicological school (to anniversary of L. A. Dubrovina)

The aim of the work is to consider in general retrospect the scientific principles of creation and functioning of Dubrovina's Ukrainian codicological school and its main scientific achievements. Methodology of the research is based on the historical analysis of science, one of the objects of study of which is the scientific school and the role of its representatives. The historical method is used, which allowed to approach the consideration of this scientific school as a system, which in its development has the ability to change, move, develop, and philosophical methods by which the principles of interdependence, interconnection, causality of scientific school, communication between the leader – students – followers; methods of identification and comparison to highlight the commonality of scientific research are also partially involved; differences in the views of scientists on certain aspects of research were not considered. Scientific novelty of the work is to conduct the first general scientific critical analysis of the formation and development of Dubrovina's Ukrainian codicological school. The significance of methodological and practical developments of the founder of the codicological school in Ukraine, the well-known scientist Liubov Andriivna Dubrovina is estimated. The author of the article makes an attempt to comprehend the main scientific achievements of the school from the middle of the scientific trend, to present the cornerstones of its representatives, and to outline their own results of many years of work in this direction. Conclusions. Dubrovina's Ukrainian codicological school has existed for 30 years (since the early 1990s) and is now well known. The formation and development of the scientific school was facilitated by the main methodological and methodological provisions for the study and codicological description of the Ukrainian and East Slavic manuscripts in general, developed by its founder L. A. Dubrovina. Archaeographic, codicological and documentary-information models of manuscripts and methods of their codicography, and the main directions of studying the Ukrainian book-manuscript heritage are offered. The Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, created and operating under the long-term leadership of the scientist, is the first and only codicological center in Ukraine for methodological-theoretical and practical research of Cyrillic manuscripts.
