Abstract
There are numerous organizations throughout the world committed to spreading awareness about typhoons. However, with the advent of Expert Systems and Natural Language Processing technologies, a domain-speci c, expert chatbot arise as the most dynamic and entertaining option to information dissemination. This project is set to develop a chatbot called Typhoon Assistant Chatbot (TAC) that has speci c knowledge regarding typhoons, their characteristics, ways to deal with it, expert's opinion and upto-date information. TAC was developed using the Expert System Shell called Verbot5 TAC understands natural language input by matching keywords from the input string and match to its script database. The performance of TAC was evaluated via a User Acceptance Test that has provided a good review of TAC and is found bene cial for public users
