Abstract
The article describes the development of an approach to automating the analysis of the shape of electrocardiogram (ECG) sections according to various preset templates of ECG sections. These templates can be determined by a doctor. Next, the templates are compared with the corresponding sections in the analyzed ECG. The degree of similarity between the template and the ECG section is calculated with an algorithm based on the dynamic time warping (DTW) method and is expressed as a single figure. The approach was tested when modifying an exist-ing prototype ECG computer analysis system. As a result of the modification, the user interface of the system was improved, convenient dialogue tools were added, allowing the doctor to navigate through the QRS complexes when viewing the ECG, considering their degree of similarity to the selected template. These tools allowed the doctor to quickly assess the patient's condition and make a conclusion
