Abstract

A key feature of orthogonality in the waveforms lies in its ability by which transmitted waveform is adapted to avoid interference and improve detection. In this paper, we implement nature inspired Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm to design and optimize the orthogonal polyphase waveform sequence. The optimization is evaluated on the basis of autocorrelation and crosscorrelation values and the simulation results when compared with other evolutionary algorithms such as Genetic algorithm (GA), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Modified ABC shows better Autocorrelation sidelobe peak level (ASP) and crosscorrelation peak level (CP) values.
