Abstract

Modern technologies need Distributed cloud computing. Data deduplication as well as Task scheduling is the noteworthy aspect of cloud computing (CC). The task scheduling (TS) aims to schedule the task on resources and minimize the scheduling time, but it faces several challenges, namely, computation time, load balancing (LB), throughput, etc. Contrarily, data deduplication (DD) aims to eradicate redundant or duplicate information, but it raises security and ownership issues. Therefore, relevant TS and secure DD strategy are necessary for effective executions in the cloud. Therefore, this paper proposes an efficient TS and Proof of Ownership (PoW)-centric secure deduplication scheme for a distributed cloud environment (CE). Utilizing the Weight-centric Cockroach Search algorithm (W-CSO), the proposed work schedules the tasks grounded on the extracted features. In a DD process, the input data are converted to hash code (HC) with the aid of the MD5-algorithm. Then, the repeated data are securely eradicated utilizing the PoW scheme, which resists both outside and inside attacks for data confidentiality. At last, the numerical outcomes attained from experiential evaluation elucidate the effectiveness shown by this proposed work.
